Founded by Dr. Kirti Patel and Dr. Vishal Patel, eye 2 eye is a modern eyecare practice with exceptional customer service. After gaining years of experience working in private and corporate practices, they decided to open their own practice in June of 2016 to provide eye care in the local community. Their main focus is to provide the highest quality eye care ranging from comprehensive eye exams and contact lens fittings to the diagnosis and treatment of eye disease. The doctors have a combined 20 years of experience and take great pride in providing patients with thorough exams for everyone including infants to adults. The optical has a great selection of frames for all styles with various lens options. The office has a professional and family friendly atmosphere from the time you enter until the visit has been completed. Kirti Patel, O.D., M.A.
Dr. Kirti Patel is originally from Royersford, PA and has been working in the Lehigh Valley since 2007. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Biology at Lycoming College in 2000 and went on to earn her Master’s degree from Temple University in 2003. Her thesis topic and results were published in Investigative Ophthalmology & Visual Science journal as primary author. She graduated with her doctorate degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, now known as Salus University, in 2007.
In addition to providing comprehensive eye exams for all ages, Dr. Patel takes special interest in contact lens fittings and co-managing glaucoma, diabetes, and hypertension. She practices full scope optometry diagnosing various diseases and treating eye infections and ocular injuries. She is available for pre- and post-operative care for cataract and refractive surgery patients.
Dr. Kirti Patel is an active member of the American Optometric Association, Pennsylvania Optometric Association, and the Lehigh Valley Optometric Society. She enjoys spending her free time with her husband and three children.
Vishal R. Patel, O.D.
Dr. Vishal Patel was born and raised in Scranton, PA. He graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology from Lehigh University in 2002. He then received both a Bachelor of Science in Visual Sciences and his Doctorate of Optometry from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 2006.
Dr. Patel started off his career working for Springfield Eye Associates (Independent Doctors of Optometry within LensCrafters) at two locations: Springfield, Delaware County and Pottstown, Chester County for the first three years. Up until April 2016, Dr. Patel was an Associate Optometrist at Complete Family Eyecare in Gilbertsville, PA for seven years. He continues to serve as an Associate Optometrist at a private office in Glenside, PA where he has been since 2006.
Besides providing comprehensive eye care for all ages, Dr. Patel also performs pre- and post-operative care for cataract and refractive surgery patients. His special interests include broad-spectrum contact lens fittings, in addition to, ocular disease management including diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma.
Dr. Patel is an active member of the American Optometric Association, Pennsylvania Optometric Association, and Bucks-Montgomery County Optometric Society. He enjoys spending his free time traveling with his wife and three children.
